Welcome to the GWBAA
The Greater Washington Business Aviation Association is a professional association that advances the safety and education of pilots, maintenance technicians, management, schedulers and dispatchers and ground support.
Founded in 2005 and based at Ronald Reagan National Airport, GWBAA membership provides opportunities for ongoing learning and professional networking. The organization promotes the public welfare by educating members and industry about issues concerning aircraft maintenance and management operations. Our mission is to represent and support the business aviation community in the Greater Washington area.
Unfortunately H.R 2997 has made it out of committee and could soon be headed to the House floor for a full vote. This legislation contains provisions for privatizing ATC, proposing to strip control of aviation-system oversight from the public’s elected representatives, and essentially hand control of the system over to a group of private parties, largely unaccountable to Congress.
Your GWBAA Board of Directors asks you to please contact congress and oppose H.R.2997.
It is critical for NBAA members to let Congress know we are for modernization, not privatization. Consider taking the following actions now:
Directly contact your local Congressional office using NBAA’s toll-free action line. By calling 855-265-9002, you will be connected with your representatives and provided suggested talking points.
Visit the Town Hall Project to see if your representatives will be holding local events or town hall meetings, and attend to express your opposition H.R.2997.
Send a message opposing H.R.2997, by using the Twitter advocacy tool at NBAA’s Contact Congress resource.
Join Us at GWBAA
Our mission is to represent and support the business aviation community in the Greater Washington area. We accomplish this through educating our members on issues regarding regulations, safety and technology, by providing an exchange of information through safety seminars, social gatherings, fundraisers and monthly newsletters.
As always, GWBAA welcomes new ideas and new board members – and in particular individuals interested in serving as its Operations and Safety Chair and/or helping to organize the annual safety standdown.
For information, please contact GWBAA President Greg Kinsella, firstname.lastname@example.org.
