2012 - EIGHTH ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
On September 12th, GWBAA held its 8th Annual Golf Tournament. The weather was a perfect warm fall day with a bright sun over the 1757 Golf Club. 70 golfers enjoyed a great day on the links in support of GWBAA and the Aero Club Foundation of Washington. They also raised $1,500 for the Corporate Angel Network through mulligans.
This year brought a record number of sponsors, many joining GWBAA for the first time. The 18th Hole host a new contest with the help of Winslow Life Raft, as we attempted to chip golf balls into a life raft in the water trap. No one made it. Maybe next year? (No one survived "Survivor Ball" either as each foursome was to play with a "special ball" and return it to the club house.)
GWBAA would like to thank all our participants, sponsors, and volunteers that made the day possible. The entire event takes a year to plan and prepare for. The day together on the links is always the pay off. We look forward to seeing you all next year. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please let us know.

2011 - SEVENTH ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
On September 21, 50+ golfers joined GWBAA at the 1757 Golf Club for our Seventh Annual Golf tournament. The weather held off for a nice fall day on the links. GWBAA and its supporters raised $1,000 for the Corporate Angel Network. The tournament also benefited the Aero Club of Washington Foundation. Oakley Brooks was on hand to accept the donation raised by the tournament on behalf of the Aero Club. Oakley described how the Aero Club helps high school students in the greater Washington area to learn about possible careers in the aviation and aerospace industries.
